COULD PARKDALE BE THE NEXT MILLION DOLLAR NEIGHBOURHOOD?
OWN NETWORK IS SEEKING OUT PARKDALE FOR UPCOMING EPISODE!!
Set in Aldergrove BC, the first season of Million Dollar Neighborhood ran on the Oprah Winfrey Network and made 100 families a million dollars richer.
Over 10 weeks, the show worked with the families to increase the group's collective net-worth by 100 thousand dollars each week. The show brought in tax consultants, budgeting experts, mortgage specialists, image consultants, small business consultant and so on, to improve the communities businesses, prospects and profitability. They also set challenges for the participants, asking them to ditch their cars and quit their cigarettes, but also to organize fundraising dinners and renovate a home in desperate need of attention.
To find out if the people of Aldergrove actually reached their goal of a million dollars, you'll have to watch the show.
What the Oprah Winfrey Network does want you to know, either way, is that they are looking for a new community who wants to pull together to get thrifty, savvy, and a million dollars richer.
